Rytmus is the Slavic word for rhythm. And is very appropriate for this handbell piece composed by the Master teacher and Rhythms-to-Ringing guru Tim Waugh. Each performance, whether at Distinctly Bronze West, the 15th Annual Festival in Puerto Rico, or to the Advanced Conducting class in Colorado, brings challenges and an appreciation for a piece that mixes meters, articulations, handchimes, percussion, and reading from three staves. Featured are guest percussionists the group has come to know performing annually with Doc Severinsen and the Minnesota Orchestra: Brian Mount, Jason Arkis, and Kevin Watkins.
