Kate Seely first started ringing handbells at age 8 at Ledyard Congregational Church in Ledyard, CT. She took a brief break from bells while attending Macalester College in St. Paul, MN, although she did manage to meet her bell-playing husband there. She picked up bells again after college and played at various churches in the Chicago and Twin Cities areas. She now rings at Shepherd of the Valley Lutheran in Apple Valley (despite living in Maple Grove). Her real jobs are as a physical therapist at Unity Hospital in Fridley, and as a mom to her two-year-old daughter, Tegan. This is Kate’s first year with Twin Cities Bronze.
